My first experience at Gempak Astro at Kluang the other day was superb. Plus I saw a TV commercial about there is an upcoming event at Kuantan around 31st October to 1st November 2009. I was so delighted, because coincidentally my hubby needs to be outstation for a few days in Kemamam from 28th October to 31st October 2009. Plus I will be accompanying him for the trip too. So we do plan to spend some time by the event on our last day there.

Hubby finished his work around 11am on Sunday. When he arrived at the hotel, he was shocked because I’ve already packed our stuff and ready to check out. And we shoot straight up to the event. The Gempak Selebriti Astro event was held at Kuantan Parade. Luckily it was Sunday. Not much traffic blocking our way. We even stop by the roadside to buy Keropok Lekor. It was an advantage for us because the distance was quite near from Kemamam.

The crowds tell that the local people has surely been expecting for the event. It was already loaded with visitors as early as in the morning.
There was lots of booth open on that day. I walked from movie booth, fun booth, sports booth, family booth and also sales and even pampering and redemption booth. And of course I love to spend more time on the movie booth so that I may know the upcoming movie promotion, and also the pampering redemption booth which is special for loyal subscribers like us! Giggle…
Plus, there is a special booth which they called as the loyalty booth. It is especially for ASTRO subscribers who upgrade their mini packages. Those subscribers will be given away some premium items such as umbrella, keychain, pen or notebook. I urged hubby to upgrade our Astro package since the last Kluang event but he keep mumbling about who wants to watch that extra channel. I would love to subscribe for Movie mini package but hubby keep refusing because of the price. Durghhh…

How times flies, it was already 1 pm. Our stomach gets angry with us. We even forgot to take lunch. Hubby was so gentlemen to go and search for food while I’m standing in front of stage. While waiting for Ning Baizura, I’ve enjoyed performance by Farah, Nadia and Akma from Akademi Fantasia. Hubby was missing for about 30 minutes now. I knew he must be at one of stall and get stuck by promotions or he might be talking to the beautiful lady. Argghh..I don’t care as long as I can enjoy myself.

How I hoped to see Tok Wan, icon of Astro. Do you remember cute Tok Wan? It is not complete without Alycia. I was lucky because I can have chit chat with them. They invited me on the stage. Owh, I don’t know that Alycia was so cute.
Hubby came with corn in a cup and nuggets; lots of it. I really like the crab fillet. I don’t care much about the heavy meal that we should eat before. I missed the reflexology massage service like what I had in Kluang.

I wanted to stay until Knowing Your Partner session but hubby was tired. I don’t want to drive back to KL and I don’t want him to sleep at the R&R. Sayonara Kuantan and the greatest Gempak Selebriti Astro. Till then.
