To all the webmaster out there, I have one thing to share with you today. Apart from blogging, you must have something to in mind to expand your work and empire. This can be done by expanding your network to build the free forum, free user submitted content, free email, free HRM, free CRM and many more.

Usually you intend to install it in your server first to have it run. Play around with your server can be dangerous if you don’t have enough experience to do that. Besides, these are the problems that can arise when installing the unfamiliar software/program directly to your server:

1. Server may corrupt (if you don’t really know to create sub domain, create new database and etc)
2. Upload and setting up may require longer time due to the slow internet connection (Thanx to Streamyx of their super slow connection)
3. You might install the infected by virus/trojan files to your server
4. Hackers will instantly find the loopholes in your files (because not properly manage yet)
5. You might be ended hating that program you will install

When XAMPP - Apache Friends Comes To Rescue
If you like to install and run the stress test to the program itself, then you can do it in your computer. You don’t need to install the Apache Server, MySQL and etc. What you have to do is to search for this software made by Apache Friends, Xampp.

So this is the nice screenshot I made from my desktop after installing this software. I choose to enable the Apache and MySQL in my pc. It run smoothly and I have test several program to install in my so called home pc server. LOL

Follow these simple steps to use this:

1. Download Xampp for Windows (I assume you use Windows and don’t be lazy go google it)
2. Install it and enable the Apache and MySql
3. Default installation will create a folder in c:\xmapp
4. Download your favorite program that you want to try, I assume you download OrangeHRM open source
5. Extract all the files into the c:\xmapp\orange
6. Open up your internet browser and type : http://localhost/orange in the address bar
7. Follow the installation steps
8. Enjoy your moment without waiting the files to be uploaded to your server
9. Share the knowledge with other people
