  2. Money Gram
  3. Wester Union

Wire Transfer

Wire transfer as known as telegraphic transfer. Usually when you want to receive a sum of money what you will need to prepare are :

  • Your full name
  • Bank name, address, phone number, contact person
  • Swift Code

Give your particular details to the sender and he will need to fill up a form in their respective bank. The wire transfer usually take around 3 to 5 working days depending from which country and which bank. Some bank will need to use an external agent to do the transfer.

Money Gram

This is one of the easy way to receive money. What you need to do is to get the reference number and you can collect the fund from the money gram agent. In Malaysia, there are two banks that allow you to get the cash, Maybank and Affin Bank.

Money gram have two type of sending money. Same day or economy. If the sender choose the same day services, the fund should be received in the destination bank in minute while economy will takes 3 USA working days.

Western Union

This is another way but the concept is similar to Money Gram. Banks or agent that allow you to collect the money are :

  • CIMB
  • Pos Malaysia
  • RHB Bank

What you need to do is to get the reference number and you can check the status online. So it’s up to the sender on how they wanted the money to be sent from.
