I have nothing to write for today except some points that I want to highlight in here. Last month I went to a friend’s office. Their current and latest projects are to develop a video streaming websites like you tube. I did not care to go and check the websites until today. The url is : www.asiatube.tv

Hmm…the layout design are nice with a different concept. But after going deeper and deeper, what I want to comment here is no different to any video streaming websites. Most of the content inside it I can say generally being upload by their team. The speed is suck. It to slow for a 2Mb Streamyx. I am disappointed with the server performance.

I am a bit shock to check the whois for this company. All entity for the server, nameserver and Ip holder seems like not genuine or like masquerade. Sadly to say the asiatube.tv being hosted in the server which have so many bad sites shared in it based on the reverse Ip. The company who holds the Ip is Piradius Net with a Singapore address and Malaysia phone number. Try google the piradius name or 124.217.224.0 - 124.217.255.255 ip. What you get?

The name server is ns1.ipnames.net and ns2.ipnames.net. Try google for ipnames and what you get? What is the relationship between two entity? Who is the owner of IPnames? Do you still remember the good old days of hyip. Most of the hyip are using this nameserver. Who is behind it? My suggestion for the company to find a good and reliable hosting. Go and get the dedicated server which is clear from any other bad names, create your own name server. Full stop

At first I want to stream the sample content form Asiatube but as the speed suck, I cancel to do it. By the way maybe later if they upgrade to a better server.

dear saiful;
1. asiatube biz model is different from youtube model. its not dependent on people to upload their videos, but if they want to, its ok for them to do so.
2. this is a beta site, if you observe carefully, you can see the beta version at the asiatube logo on top banner. Anyways, it is not launched yet! people are not suppose to go in until we r finish with the site.
3. hosting and bandwidth problems we are still in testing stage, we changed every month to see the effect of using different hosting features & servers. Cost us a bomb to do this!

Hi Xbrain dot biz,

From what I checked, 2mbps is good enough, maybe you should perform a tracert to the server and see where’s the issue. Maybe its due to the local ISP as what I have heard, Streamyx has been having a lots of connection issue.

So why blame the hosting ? by the way, the IP belongs to Malaysia and from what I researched about, Piradius is a network provider. They have their own range of IP’s and they are located within Malaysia.
