Maxis new ads makes me think, for those who does not understand Malay language, let’s me translate for you :

“Anak anak yang melayari Internet lebih terbuka mindanya - Untuk maklumat lanjut sial hubungi xxx.xxxx”

translate to English :

“Children who surf the internet will be open minded” - ForDeyails please call xxx.xxx”

My opinion is Maxis hired the good Ads Agency to make the print ads for them. But how about the copywriter who do this script. I don’t think the copywriter has their own kids. As you guys know, Internet usage for kids without being control by parents can attract them to the Adult’s site which can easily be in.

Yes they will open their mind more widen but this will attract them more to the sex things. Just imagine when you were 12 years old kid and you saw your dad’s Playboy magazine, what will you do. As for me, I will steal the magazine and will go straight away to toilet. For an instance, will do masturbate. That’s the only way for me to get the pleasure out from my body.

If happen that way then it will be okay but what if something else happen like your kids try to find other alternative which involving other people like what they saw in the porno site? Gosh..it must be so hurt to you man. Can’t imagine my kids go and sleep with other young girl.

My conclusion, the message for this ads is okay but one thing is our kids have to be control while surfing the internet or else other things will happen. Good luck to all the parents. Ciao
